Cookies, Muffins & More! The HSH Way.

It’s funny, because when you come to this blog you may thing we are crafty little chefs. But the HSH way really means…

as SIMPLE as possible, nutritious & DELICIOUS.

Because, the truth is we are just really good at mixing delicious things together LOL.

Really, most of these recipes you see on this blog require minimal cooking + little skill. Which is why I love cooking.

When it comes to BAKING though, there is a precise science that helps things rise and bake to perfection. It is something Jenna says she always avoids and assigned me, Danielle, to the task to come up with some delicious, simple baked goods to share with you guys! Because honestly, who doesn’t love a warm cookie - any day, but especially in quarantine.

A few tips before we get to the recipes:

  • When you see “nut butter” listed - if you are allergic, use a seed based butter like: tahini, sunflower, pumpkin, watermelon seed etc. OR granola butter is a great nut free option that we love!

  • We have learned this the hard way, but baking powder and baking soda are different things - use them correctly LOL

  • Same goes with flours, if you are allergic or dislike a flour listed, use your judgement and sub for one you like better! Oat flour is always a crowd pleaser.

  • Maple syrup - you can sub in honey or sweetner you prefer.
