Sweet & Sour Salmon Bowl

Sweet & sour salmon bowl - but make it simple and easy for everyone to prepare!

Making food fun and simple is what we do here at HSH, so I am thrilled to bring you this recipe. Salmon is one of my favorite protein options and this adds a completely new flavor than what I’m used to! See the recipe below, and watch me make it here

Sauce

½ cup pineapple juice

¼ cup honey

⅓ cup rice vinegar

2-3 tablespoons ketchup

1-2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 teaspoons arrowroot starch mixed in 2 tablespoons cold water

To Make Your Bowl

Salmon (or other protein, like chicken)

Rice

Vegetables as desired

Trader Joe's chili crunch (optional)

Sliced green onions (optional)

Hot sauce (optional)

Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 fahrenheit.

  2. In a bowl mix all ingredients except the arrowroot starch combination. Transfer to saucepot on medium high heat and bring to a simmer.

  3. Add arrowroot starch combination and whisk until thick. Set aside.

  4. Put salmon on a baking sheet and add sauce atop salmon. Bake for 15 minutes.

  5. Saute vegetables and make rice.
