5 Fun Things to do with the Apples you Picked this Fall

Have you all gone apple picking yet? Apple picking is a fall staple for me I love every part of it. The crisp air and apples get me in the fall mood so fast! Then you bring home pounds of apples and consider opening an apple pie business because what are you going to do with all of these apples? Before you start the business, let me help you with these 5 easy and fun ideas that may use up the apples faster than you thought.

1.     Air Fryer Apples

Because air fryers are LIFE. Slice up a few apples and toss in olive oil and cinnamon. These can be air fried for 15-20 mins on 400°. They can be eaten on yogurt or with peanut butter or honey drizzled on top. Level up your salad and add these on top as well!  These would be amazing with any of those combinations or just on their own. See the process happen on this TikTok.

2.     Apple Chips

I love a good crunch! Thinly slice your apples horizontally and place on a baking sheet. Make sure these are thin so that they get crispy in the oven. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and place in the oven for 1 hour at 200°. Flip the apples and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar and bake for another hour or until desired crispiness!

3.     With Cinnamon Sugar

I am not sure that it gets easier than this! Cut up your apples (if you have a spiralizer or apple peeler, use that!) and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. This would be best with a crisp apple!

4.     Ants on a Rock

Think ants on a log but with an apple. Slice your apples horizontally and spread a layer of your favorite nut butter on top!  Sprinkle on some chocolate chips, oats, or raisins. You can get creative with your little ones and have them pick their toppings!

5.     Personal Apple Crisps

Halve your apples and scoop out the seeds in the middle. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter for crisp topping. Press mixture onto each apple. Grab a pan and fill about ¼ inch with water. Bake the apples on 350° for 30-40 mins. Enjoy!
