Our Fall Trader Joe's Guide

One of the greatest perks of a food freedom journey is the enjoyment and excitement that goes with grocery shopping! Something maybe once seen as dreadful or boring, can be so exciting and satisfying when you are in a place of eating the foods you actually enjoy.

At HSH, we love exploring any and all grocery stores, for fun, new and different foods! We especially love when we can get festive with our shopping as the seasons change. We are no strangers to Trader Joe’s and all the amazing goodies they have to offer this time of year- so here are some of our picks below with ways to use them!

TRADER JOE’S FALL PICKS 2021

  • Pumpkin Ravioli

  • Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

  • Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

  • Pumpkin Bagels (come in gluten free!)

  • Fall Zucchette Pasta in Butternut Squash

  • Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce

  • Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce

  • Pumpkin Spiced Coffee

  • Pumpkin Joe Joe’s 

  • Ghosts and Bat Chips

  • Pumpkin Bread Boxed Mixed

  • Canned Pumpkin (so good for baking)

  • Hold the Cone in Pumpkin Ginger

  • Pumpkin Bisque

There are SO many more, but these are the ones we love at HSH! Keep reading to see some yummy ways to use them!

PUMPKIN RAVIOLI

You can totally keep it simple with this option and boil and enjoy (pro tip! Air fry after boiling for a crunch!), but I love serving them over a bed of spinach with balsamic glaze and sliced chicken sausage for the perfect sweet and savory mix! Pair them with the Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce if you wanna be SUPER festive. 

BUTTERNUT SQUASH MAC AND CHEESE

This is  a great frozen option for when you are in a pinch. I love pairing this as a delicious side dish with chicken, some greens and the mac all mixed together to get that yummy butternut squash flavor all over (you know how we feel about MESSY bowls).

FALL ZUCCHETTE BUTTERNUT SQUASH PASTA

This butternut squash is SO yummy, and festive (it’s pumpkin shaped!) and so versatile. I love making this pasta and using it 2 ways. 1 way is making a pasta salad, with bell peppers, black olives, onions, feta, and a diced protein and sauce of your choice. Such an amazing option to make at the beginning of the week and enjoy everyday- or to bring to a fall gathering! Another way is to pair this pasta with the Autumnal Harvest Sauce and add in arugula and ground turkey for a fall twist on classic Bolognese.
